“My family and I called in for Sunday lunch without a reservation however we were made to feel very welcome and were soon shown to a table. Limited choice of meats, however the beef was absolutely beautiful – so tender and succulent and lots of it. Very good choice of vegetables and homemade Yorkshire puddings!! Good range of desserts. Excellent range of hand-pulled beers, lagers and wines. Staff very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Highly recommended – we will return, very soon!!”
“Stayed here for 2 nights while visiting the North York Moors Railway for the weekend. It’s a lovely country pub with appropriate decorations in our room (room 3) – not dated and was lovely and fresh. The en-suite bathroom was huge, as was the king size bed. As soon as we walked in we felt welcome and dinner offered and we would recommend. Breakfast was efficient and filling we only needed a light lunch. We will certainly be staying again when back in the area.”
